Walter Watson - Artist

My wife, Margaret, and I bought Birchwood Cottage in 2011,  At that time the cottage was a single storey but-n-ben surrounded by fields and with a beautiful view over St Andrews to the Angus hills beyond. 
 
Over  the next two years, an extra floor was added to the cottage so that we could live upstairs while the ground floor was converted into a tearoom, giftshop and gallery. 
 
In April 2013, with the help of volunteers, we opened for business with all profits going to children's charities.  Since that time, we have donated over £250,000 to Mary's Meals and CHAS.

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, we had to close our doors to the public for a while and so we thought we would develop this website to keep going in a small way to provide funds for charity. 

The tearoom and gallery are now permanenetly closed as we have retired - again!
